BestBuyScrubber Equipment Rental Agreement
1. DEFINITIONS

"Company", "we", "us", "our": BestBuyScrubber.com
-
"Customer", "you", "your", "Renter": The individual or entity renting the Equipment.

"Equipment": The BestBuyScrubber floor cleaning machine and all included accessories as specified in the product listing.

"Rental Period": The duration selected by Customer at checkout, commencing on the delivery date as confirmed by tracking information.
-
"Security Deposit": A refundable amount held to secure performance of this Agreement.
2. RENTAL PERIOD & DELIVERY
2.1 Commencement: The Rental Period begins on the date the Equipment is delivered to the shipping address you provided, as verified by the carrier's tracking record. This is Day 1 of your rental.
2.2 Return Window: You must return the Equipment so that it is received by us no later than the final day of your selected Rental Period. Late returns are subject to additional charges under Section 5.
2.3 Delivery Delays: We are not liable for carrier delays. The Rental Period will still commence upon the actual delivery date. If a package is lost in transit, a replacement will be shipped and no rental charges will accrue until delivery of the replacement.
3. SECURITY DEPOSIT
3.1 Amount: A Security Deposit in the amount specified at checkout is required and will be charged at the time of order placement together with the rental fee.
3.2 Refund Conditions: Subject to Section 5 (Damage and Loss), your Security Deposit will be refunded in full after:

(a) The Equipment is returned and physically received by us; AND

(b) The Equipment passes our inspection for damage, missing parts, and functionality.
3.3 Refund Method:

If refund is initiated within 120 days of your original payment, it will be returned to your original payment method.

If more than 120 days have passed, we will contact you for a PayPal email address or bank account to process the refund externally. It is your responsibility to respond with accurate details.
3.4 Refund Timeline: Approved refunds are typically processed within 5 business days of completing inspection. Funds may take additional time to appear in your account depending on your financial institution.
4. USE & CARE OF EQUIPMENT
4.1 Permitted Use: You agree to use the Equipment only for its intended purpose — cleaning hard floors in a residential or light commercial indoor setting.
4.2 Prohibited Actions: You shall NOT:

Use unauthorized cleaning solutions that may damage internal components;

Attempt to repair, disassemble, or modify the Equipment;
-
Remove any serial numbers, labels, or ownership markings;
-
Sub-rent, lend, or transfer possession of the Equipment to any third party.
4.3 Daily Maintenance: You are responsible for basic cleaning as outlined in the included user manual, such as emptying the dirty water tank and removing debris from brushes after each use.
5. DAMAGE, LOSS & DEDUCTIONS
5.1 Normal Wear & Tear: Minor cosmetic scuffs and superficial scratches that do not affect machine function are considered normal wear and will NOT result in any deduction.
5.2 Damage Beyond Normal Wear: The following are considered Customer-caused damage and will result in deductions from your Security Deposit:

Water damage to the motor or electronics from improper use;

Damage caused by running over hard objects, cords, or liquids not intended for the machine;

Clogged or corroded internal tubing from use of non-approved chemicals.
5.3 Deduction Process: If damage is found, we will:

(a) Provide you with dated photographic/video evidence;
-
(b) Provide a repair cost estimate or invoice;
-
(c) Deduct the documented repair cost from your Security Deposit. Any remaining balance will be refunded to you.

If repair costs exceed the Security Deposit amount, we reserve the right to invoice you for the difference.
5.4 Total Loss or Non-Return: If you fail to return the Equipment within 14 calendar days after the Rental Period ends, and do not respond to our contact attempts, the Equipment will be deemed a total loss. The full Security Deposit will be forfeited, and you may be invoiced for the remaining replacement value.
6. LATE RETURNS & OVERDUE FEES
6.1 Late Fee: A late fee equal to [1/3 or 1/4] of the weekly rental rate will be charged per day for each day beyond the agreed Rental Period, up to a maximum of 14 days, after which the Equipment is considered non-returned under Section 5.4.
6.2 Extension Requests: If you wish to extend your rental, you must contact us before your Rental Period expires. Extensions are subject to availability and additional rental fees. An approved extension does not waive any existing damage.
7. SHIPPING & RETURN
7.1 Return Shipping Cost: Unless otherwise stated in the product listing, the Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
7.2 Packaging: Equipment must be returned in its original box with all original packaging materials to prevent transit damage. You are liable for any damage caused by inadequate return packaging.
7.3 Proof of Return: We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining the tracking number. You bear the risk of loss during return transit until the package is scanned as delivered to our facility.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, including but not limited to lost profits, property damage (e.g., damage to your floors caused by improper use of the Equipment), or personal injury arising from your use or misuse of the Equipment.
8.2 Maximum Liability: Our total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the total rental fees paid by you.
8.3 Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of this Agreement or misuse of the Equipment.
